Intercession

 Show up tired

You won’t leave same I promise!

Time will fail me to speak

Of the different surge of energy

Our Helper infuses into our Spirit

 as you prosecute your assignment.

I’d speak of the prayer experience;

The moment your willing heart

Bows in surrender

Inspite of the motions of tiredness

Many at times, oh! Intercessor!

You give in to the excuse

“I am tired”

Choosing to miss out

On the manifold supply of grace.

I do not speak against rest

But to your surprise,

That same tired self

Was able to sit for an hour, plus two

Fixated on a screen and felt at ease

Forgetting it was tired.

Oh Beloved, I write of the urgency of the time

The Spirit is willing

To pour out Himself

If only we show up

So much of Grace supplied

We are not left without Help

In this strategic hour!

Pick a side

Oh! soldier

Your commander never grows weary

All He says is show up

I’d supply the strength

To those feeble knees.

These are times of lifting

Times for shifting

For the weak

Who will receive strength

On the platter of obedience.

Your Helper says “show up”

I’d supply the strength

At the midnight watch

While men slept.

I’d overshadow you

With My strength.

This is a call for intercession
